This place is a must see, must stay. The lodges are exceptional and the view is completely breathtaking. With the friendliest animals for the kids (large and small) to get up close to, this is a great place to stay for families. A cuddle with Spike (the hand-reared lamb) is a moment not forgotten. We stayed in the Garden Lodge and we couldn't fault it, so spacious and comfy it was perfect for our family of 4. With the long barn for entertaining, the heated outdoor swimming pool, the most perfect hosts, the little touches that make the stay all the more luxurious, and the views, this place is amazing. It's surroundings are simply stunning and with lovely villages and castles nearby to explore there's no chance of running out of things to do. Idyllic is how this place is best described, and I can't wait to come back!
We stayed at the luxurious Lodges at New House Farm with our two children and another family, for a long weekend over Easter. What a fantastic find! It was just over an hour's drive for London but in the heart of the English countryside, and there was something for everyone, from the more active to the sedate. The surrounding countryside provides beautiful walks and runs and the on site heated pool was a big hit. Local villages were quaint for mooching and the area is great for foodies, with highlights including great gastropubs, local organic delis and tea rooms. The area would also be ideal for cyclists and the lodges are well set up for a range of outdoors activities. The lodges are tastefully furnished and prepared, with beautiful attention to detail. A particular hit was the roll top baths, and the enormous, comfy sofas and beds. We shall be returning, and recommending The Lodges to our family and friends.

Rudyard Kiplings house. (National Trust) House is dark but very interesting. Gardens are beautiful and not large. Dogs permitted on (NT lead, supplied) in most of the Gardens but not in the house or restaurant. Very disappointed with restaurant. Poor selection. Soup & casserole on a hot summers day !! Or basic jacket potatoes or Welsh rarebit. Better off bringing sandwiches. Narrow lane leading to large car park. Overall worth the visit.
Set in some beautiful landscape this 17th century house is a must to visit to see how Rudyard Kipling lived and worked here, just as if he'd just walked out of the door and left everything as it was. Lovely gardens and walks around to the mill.

Exceptional. Conscientious. Impeccable. Outstanding. Trustworthy. The needle in the haystack when it comes to finding the very best care home, with the very best care, the very best staff, and the very best manager. Add to all of the above, and more in terms of praiseworthy, Dudwell is a haven of peace, calm and beauty. My mum is here now and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Great place, great staff excellent services.
