An excellent find & my daughter loved the fairy adventure find. Will be coming here again with other fairy adventurers. ......also has a great little cafe.

Great gifts of all shapes and sizes available from the shop. Very different from your typical 'garden centre'. The Cafe is lovely and cosy, food is lovely, particularly the cakes ;). Combined with the gardens and variety of plants it made for a perfect little detour on a day in the countryside.

A lovely day out. Interesting house and garden, often there are Kipling related activities for children. Plenty of parking and a short walk down a slope through the orchard to the tea room and shop. The walled garden behind the tea room is great for kids to burn off some energy while their parents relax. There is a pretty walk to the old mill and long estate walks through woods and fields. Dogs are welcome in the garden but have to stay on the paths. Take a picnic blanket and enjoy the grassy area by the fish pond.

Batemans is a beautiful place to visit at any time of year but i love the Spring. The walk along the river and up through the woods to the old brick works is so full of stimulating sights, sounds and fragrances. I love the giggling gurgling stream, the smell of the wild garlic, the birds singing and to see new buds and already opened wild flowers. Batemans has a place to eat and drink (the mulberry tea rooms), a shop and a working old mill to visit. Quite a steep slope upon entry so be aware of this if using a wheelchair.

Great place to stay with a lovely atmosphere. Gardens and building are amazing.
